Copper occurs as predominantly copper oxide minerals (malachite and azurite) above the base of oxidation and mainly as chalcopyrite below.

In August 2012, Tiger released a Maiden Indicated Resource estimate of 8.6M tonnes at 1.49% Cu containing 128,200t of contained copper metal. The deposit also has Inferred Mineral Resources of 27,400 tonnes of copper. Total contained copper in the Indicated and Inferred status is 155,600t.

Further potential exists at Kileba for lateral oxide extensions and the deposit is open at depth with substantial scope for expansion of sulphide resources.

Both Kileba and Kipoi North represent predominantly oxide mineralisation which should be amenable to treatment in an SXEW operation. Kileba and Kipoi North are in close trucking proximity to Kipoi Central, offering synergies and efficiencies for mining operations.
